Battlefront 2 - Give it up for Ghana

Young people on a mission to change the world. That’s what it’s all about. Battlefront is an online/on-telly Channel 4 project starring a crew of 14-21-year-olds with big ideas, big hearts and big ambitions. With the help of experienced mentors and a dedicated Battlefront team, Battlefronters turn their issues into fully-fledged campaigns and set off on a journey to achieve something incredible. The campaign videos show students keystage 3 up about how they can get involved and make a difference to the world around them, and make great online resources for citizenship lessons. This video introduces Vickie Wilson's campaign, 'Give it up for Ghana': "I want to supply every Ghanaian child with a basic school kit. To make this happen, I’m campaigning for local and national businesses to donate items of stationery that they no longer want or need. It’s said that one man’s junk is another man’s treasure; and for the children of Ghana that’s certainly true..." For more videos from the campaign: http://www.battlefront.co.uk
