SuperMe is a great online education resource for teachers, social workers and youth workers trying to engage young people in subject areas including citizenship, PSHE and media studies for keystage 4 or higher. The project was inspired by the Resilience program, which was recently been introduced across a range of UK schools and aims to teach young people how to control their own happiness alongside more traditional teaching methods. After extensive research into teen lifestyle and wellbeing, Channel 4 Education created SuperMe - a system of games and videos designed to help teens understand the control they have over their lives and how they can positively shape their future success and happiness, in short, be better at life. SuperMe takes users on a journey of self-belief and discovery as they move through the site, watching videos, reading factoids and playing immersive games whilst answering questions about themselves, their strengths and weaknesses. The videos include candid stories from celebrities including presenter Richard Bacon, whose personal life choices made the headlines in 1998, pop sensation and darling of the festival circuit, Pixie Lott, Mercury Prize-winning rapper Speech Debelle and England footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips.
